Think Tank Productions, Red Carpet Events, and the A-List have joined together to produce a Pre-Indepence Day Celebration. Join celebrity guest hosts, Hollis Thomas, Roman Harper, and Fred McAfee of the N.O. Saints along with the Lovely N.O. Honey Bees, as we kick off Essence Fest festivities at Republic. DJ Kemistry will provide the sounds spinning hip hop and pop on the eve of America's independence. Every Thursday is Ladies Night, so ladies have complimentary admission before Midnight. Friday, July 18th: ASII's Got Soul Fundraiser

Join us as we help Zydeco our way to building a community center. From 7-10pm on July 18th, A Shared Initiative, Inc. A Shared Initiative, Inc.’s Clifford N. Rosenthal Community Center facility is located on the Desire Street bus stop at 3401 St. Claude Avenue in the Upper Ninth Ward.

The 5700 square foot building will house an ASI Federal Credit Union branch, the ASII nonprofit office and the remaining space is available for lease to other nonprofit/community development organizations.

Situated directly on a major thoroughfare through the Upper Ninth Ward, the Community Center will serve the Bywater, St. Claude, St. Roch and adjacent neighborhoods. ASII’s future goal is to create a community rooftop garden open to the public to grow produce for the local Saturday Farmer’s Marketing, while teaching social and entrepreneur skills and helping build relationships within the community to bridge the generation gap.
