Friday, March 27th: G-Eazy featuring Trombone Shorty
![]() G-Eazy is a rapper, producer, performer, graphic designer and video editor. He was raised in Oakland, CA, but is currently based out of New Orleans, LA. G began his obsession with music at fourteen. In an interview he said, "Everyday, I came home early from school to spend all night making beats, writing lyrics, and recording." At fifteen G started Bay Boyz and within three months their first album "Welcome to the Bay" was released and promoted through G-Eazy's MySpace page. G produced, recorded, mixed, and designed the entire CD. The page now has over 579,00+ total plays and an average of 2,500 plays per day. G self-released ten albums before moving to New Orleans. Within a year and a half, G released two mixtapes, three music videos, and the "Fresh EP". G-Eazy has performed in Oakland, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Metairie, and Philadelphia. Shortly after releasing his "Fresh EP", G-Eazy opened for Afroman in Uptown New Orleans. G has also performed at Everybody Hates Chris actress, Paige Hurd's, Sweet 16 Birthday in Los Angeles. His show at Republic set a record for Friday's at the club, attracted over 1,100 people and was filmed by MTV UK. G stole the show in Philadelphia when he performed with Mike Jones, and Jazzy Jeff. G continues to experiment, and is incorporating his fresh style in collaborations with live musicians. His current projects include G-Eazy TV, two new mixtapes, a new album, and more. |
