Rally for Devon

On September 8, 2012, Tulane Football Player Devon Walker was seriously injured in a head-to-head collision that left him with a cervical spine fracture. Beloved son of Booker and Inez Walker, Devon has four siblings and is a Senior at Tulane University. He is not only a devoted Green Wave football player, but is also on track to finish his undergraduate degree majoring in Cell & Molecular Biology with hopes of attending medical school. Since the accident that nearly cost Devon his life, he has endured multiple surgeries and faces a long and difficult road to recovery.

In an effort to assist Devon and his family with current and future medical expenses, Republic New Orleans, along with Tulane University and other local businesses, is honored to host a fundraiser benefit in Devon’s honor on Saturday, November 3, 2012 following Tulane’s Homecoming Game. It is our mission to show our provide an event in which members of the community can rally in support for Devon while doing everything we can to aide in his recovery. All ticket and silent auction proceeds will be donated.
