TROLL 2 in Hecklevision

HeckleTroll2_310x215

Unless you’re watching Statler and Waldorf take on the Muppets, there’s nothing more annoying than people heckling a movie. Their voices interrupt the characters, and even if their jokes are good you end up missing some key line of dialog that would make the next joke even better.

Enter HeckleVision – we pick some hilariously horrible movies (but movies we can’t help but love anyway) and through the magic of MuVChat text-to-screen technology, we let you text your heckles silently from your seat as they then magically appear up on the screen alongside the main action. ANYTHING goes in this all out assault on terrible cinema and you can bask in the glory of your textual genius or recoup from a riff as you prepare your next text. When you don’t have anything to contribute, you can sit back and enjoy other peoples’ snarky comments like a live Mystery Science Theater 3000 playing out right in front of you.

Originally conceived by an independent cinema in Austin, TX, Hecklevision has been making its way across the country while simultaneously leaving movie audiences in stitches. This September, the crowd-sourced comedy event that everyone is texting about came to New Orleans with the awesomely bad BATMAN & ROBIN (1997).

In October, we screen TROLL 2, whos crud factor is so powerful that it reigned for years as IMDB’s lousiest movie of all time. Join young Joshua and his family on a dark journey into the heart of Nilbog, a mysterious township of cannibalistic vegetarians who may or may not be hiding a more vicious supernatural secret. Local sheriff Gene Freak isn’t any help as he’s too busy offering the most bizarre drunk uncle performance you’ll ever see on screen. And he’s not alone! Every actor involved is their own unique breed of weirdo, lending an already fascinatingly crippled film a whole new level of self-‐destructive force.”
